The Cabinet on October 13th, 2015 approved economic measures to improve the situation in the property sector. The housing transfer fee cut to 0.01% from 2%, and slashing mortgage fees to 0.01% from 1% from next Monday (October 19) to the end of April.

The specific business tax for the owners who resell their property within five years of it being transferred - is now charged at 3.3% of appraisal price.

Buyers of homes costing less than 3 million baht have an extra incentive as 20% of the price tag will be tax deductible for five years, starting Dec 31.
